The Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center (ECADC) in collaboration with the LOORE network (Estonian Creative Residencies Network NGO), invites young artists to apply for creative residencies.
The Young Artists Residency Programme is part of a pilot project initiated by the Ministry of Culture and implemented by ECADC. The aim of the programme is to support young artists during the transition period after completing higher education — a time when the support networks developed during their studies are fading, while the creation of personal connections, collaborations, and professional opportunities is only beginning.
The programme is intended for visual artists living in Estonia or connected to Estonia who, as of 1 July 2026, have completed a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or other higher-level creative education programme within the past five years.
Up to ten young artists will be selected to participate in a two-week residency at one of the creative residencies belonging to the LOORE network and operating in different locations across Estonia.
Selected artists will receive a gross fee of €1,000 for the residency period. In addition, depending on the residency provider, residencies offer accommodation, studio space, and support in developing the artists’ projects.
Residency opportunities are offered by the following LOORE network members: Arvo Pärt Centre, Damn.Loud., Kanuti Gildi SAAL, Kordon, Kullaaugu, Loovlinnak, Maajaam, Massia, NART, RuhnuRahu, Rüki Residency, and the Tartu Artists’ Union.
