Annual Meeting of Estonian Artist Residencies 30.-31.10.2025

The annual meeting of Estonian artist residencies is taking place for the third time. It offers a valuable opportunity for members of the residency network to come together, share experiences, and learn more about each other’s work. In addition to network members, guests from outside the network are also welcome to attend.

This two-day annual gathering will take the form of a bus tour, during which we will visit a total of eight different residencies. Each residency will introduce their space, key themes, and activities that are important to them.

Our aim is to provide a compact and diverse overview of the artist residencies in Estonia.During the longer bus rides, we’ll experiment with short onboard workshops, but we’ll also make sure there’s time for open conversation and informal networking. The working language of the meeting is English.

Participation Fee

• For LOORE network members: €30 / participant

• For non-members: €100 / participant

The participation fee includes:

• Bus travel

• Accommodation in single or double rooms

• Meals (1 breakfast, 2 lunches, 2 dinners)

8:30 – Bus departs from Tallinn (exact location to be confirmed)→ 25 min drive to Vaskjala

9:00 – Visit to Copperleg residency

10:15 – Bus ride from Vaskjala to Tartu

12:15–13 – Lunch (location to be confirmed)

13:15–14:15 – Visit to UNESCO City of Literature – Tartu Residency

14:30 – Bus ride from Tartu to Ahja

15:00 – Visit to Kullaaugu residency

16:00 – Bus ride from Ahja to Neeruti

17:00- 18:00- Maajaam 18:15- Bus ride (Neeruti- Valga)

19:00 – Arrival in Valga & check-in

20:00 – Dinner (location to be confirmed)

14.30 Bussisõit Tartu- Ahja

15.00- 15:45 Kullaaugu

9:30–11:30 – Visit to VARES Residency (Uus tn 35, Valga)

11:45 – Bus ride from Valga to Viljandi

13:00–13:40 – Lunch (location to be confirmed)

13:40 – Visit to Rüki Residency and Gallery

14:50 – Bus ride from Viljandi to Massiaru

16:10 – Visit to MASSIA

17:50 – Bus ride from Massiaru to Laadi

18:30 – Visit to Susimetsa Philosophicum

19:30 – Dinner at Susimetsa Residency

21:30 – Departure back to Tallinn by bus

For those who prefer not to return to Tallinn in the evening, it is possible to stay overnight at Susimetsa (at your own expense)
